OBJECTIVE
Education:
D.A.D.S. offers an Emergency
Preparedness for Pet presentation, both as a stand-alone program and as part of
the Family Disaster Preparedness Plan.
Volunteers, who are trained and certified by DEMA, present the programs at
various community functions and organizations throughout Sussex County.
Emphasis is placed on early
evacuation of people and pets in the
likely event of a catastrophic storm, and making preparations for sheltering in
place during other disasters or when evacuation is not an option.
The presentations are free and
available in Power Point or as lectures using a flip chart, demonstrations and
handouts. Please view the D.A.D.S.
Power Point presentation under Slide Show. Click on Pet Passport, Critter Bag and Brochure
for samples of handouts given at the presentations.
To schedule a Family
Preparedness for Disaster or Delaware Animal Disaster Services presentation for
your club, group or organization, please call the RSVP office at 302-856-5816
