OBJECTIVES
Delaware Animal Disaster Services
(D.A.D.S.) was formed as a result of the devastation caused by Hurricane
Katrina and in response to the Congressional mandate for communities to include
animals in all emergency preparedness plans.
D.A.D.S. is sponsored by the State Office Of Volunteerism Retired and
Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP). We
also partner or work closely with the Delaware Emergency Management Agency,
Citizen Corps, Department of Agriculture, Sussex County Emergency Operations,
Red Cross and various other emergency and law enforcement agencies throughout
Sussex County.
